By accepting our quotation or using this website you agree to be bound by the terms & conditions of Salter Cleaning Services Limited (Salter Cleaning)

Salter Cleaning employs its own window cleaners and uses bona fide subcontractors to carry out ‘rope access’ works. These terms and conditions apply when using the services of Salter Cleaning.

Payment

Costs are inclusive of VAT. Our payment terms are strictly 30 days from date of invoice. Our preferred method to send invoices will be directly to customers via email. Invoices are send after completion of works unless circumstances dictate otherwise. Postal upon customer request. Preferred payment of invoices is via internet transfer/ BACS / Standing Order, details available by request. Cheques to be made payable to Salter Cleaning as detailed on invoice.

If none payment exceeds our payment terms a late payment of 2.5% interest will be charged per month to cover administrative costs (at our discretion). Salter Cleaning reserve the right to suspend your cleaning. If we then fail to receive monies owed within 60 days we have the right to contact a collection agency to recover the debt, you will be liable for all related charges, collection agency fees and court related fees

Cancellation of Services

Either party may terminate this Agreement upon giving at least thirty (30) days prior written notice to the other party of its intent to terminate this Contract. Failure to do so will result in a 100% charge for any work scheduled within this period. If we carry out the scheduled work without cancellation – full payment will be required

Weather

Salter Cleaning will clean your windows in most weather conditions to continue a regular service to our clients, in the event of heavy rain, snow or hard frost we will clean your windows the next time slot we have available. We do not work in very strong winds or electrical storms as this would be unsafe for us, our pure water systems work in all weathers therefore weather conditions are not an acceptable reason for postponing our services. We will clean your home/premises in all conditions without affecting quality. We do not offer a jump on jump off service(IE: not this time or see you in the spring).

Damages

Salter Cleaning do not accept liability for any external or internal damage caused by decorative or structural defects at your property such as but not limited to, ill fitting windows, doors, fascia’s, guttering, window/conservatory trims, unsecured windows and doors, leaking seals, loose stuck on lead, decorative bars stuck on glass, rotting frames, flaking paint, open /broken trickle vents. Any external or internal damage to any form of electrical equipment and or loose/poor external brick work i.e. plastering/jointing /sealing/signage etc.

The brushes we use are designed not to scratch windows or sills. There is nothing on the brush that will scratch the glass/ sills

Satisfaction Guarantee

Salter Cleaning offer a satisfaction guarantee against any work that we carry out. After the clean is carried out we obtain a signed satisfaction sheet from our customers (as long as there is someone available on site to sign it or we can post through letter box)

If you are not 100% satisfied with the clean please contact us within 48 hours of the clean. We will aim to investigate and resolve the complaint within 48 hours. If a reclean is agreed this will be carried out at our earliest opportunity and when it is convenient between both parties.

Ingress & Egress

Should we be unable to access any part of your property/premises due to locked gates etc., we will only clean the accessible areas, such as front or side/s. This will be charged accordingly. We will be unable to return to clean the restricted area until the next scheduled clean. To avoid this, please ensure safe access is available.

We will endeavour to clean all windows but if we deem any window/s to be inaccessible or unsafe to clean, we will not clean them.

We will be unable to move any paperwork / obstacles / furniture / blinds etc. Please ensure these are moved prior to clean commencing. If these of any other items (including vehicles) restrict access we will be unable to clean those windows.

If we need to enter your neighbour’s property to be able to reach/clean some of your windows we would ask you to please seek their permission.

Due to health and safety any form of balcony windows will need to be accessed via your property – this will have been liaised prior - either between ourselves or contractor

Changes to Our Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions may change from time to time. We reserve the right to amend without notice. We will not explicitly inform our customers of these changes. Instead, we recommend that you check this page occasionally for any changes.
